Church of God (Cleveland, TN)

One of the largest and oldest Pentecostal denominations in the world is the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee. This denomination was founded by Elder Richard Spurling, a Baptist minister, and several others in August 1886 as they sought a deeper relationship with Christ. Their major doctrines blend Protestant theology with Pentecostal beliefs. The Church of God follows specific guidelines for Christian living, which they call Practical Commitments.
