Our Mission

Our Vision The vision at Mold Breakers Fellowship is three fold. The Bible states that a threefold cord cannot easily be broken. We live in a broken society. All we have to do is turn on our TV, talk to our kids, listen to people talk on the street, or read social media and we can see a broken society. We want to attack this brokenness in three ways. First we want to love unconditionally and without condemnation. Secondly we want to help build the whole body of Christ, not just our group. Thirdly we want to teach and preach Jesus as Truth, not some religion, denomination, or man-made rules. Love Unconditionally, Without Condemnation John 3:16 is the most universally known scripture in the world, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” It was unconditional love that nailed Jesus to a tree to die for our sins. If the man Christ Jesus can have so much love that he would die for us, then should we not show love to everyone? The next verse John 3:17 states, “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” This verse is just as important as the first because it is speaking to the very nature of Christ. As Christians, which simply means to be Christ like, should we not display that same nature? Our passion is to show this generation that they are loved and not condemned. There is hope for everyone in Jesus Christ. It does not matter how broken one is or how deep they are in the pig pen, Jesus has an answer. Remember the woman they brought to Jesus and they were about to stone her for her sins. Jesus first revealed the sins of the self-righteous stoners then ask her where her accusers ran off to. She stated she did not have any accusers and Jesus stated, "Neither do I condemn thee, go and sin no more". We want people to know at Mold Breaker Fellowship we love you and do not condemn you. Build The Body We believe the whole body of Christ is important. As the Bible states, the finger is no less important than the arm or the foot no less important than the leg. Jesus' disciples came to him one time declaring that another group was uplifting the name of Jesus; they wanted to go stop them. Jesus said," If they are not against us, they are for us, leave them alone." Mold Breakers Fellowship wants to be a bridge builder. God did not send us here to tear down or fight against other believers in Jesus. If a church or body of Christ believes Jesus is the head, then we want to celebrate them and not destroy them. It has been said that we have too many differences, but what should really be said is we have one major commonality, Jesus. The old song use to say, “your my brother, your my sister, come and take me by the hand, together we will work until he comes. There is no foe that can defeat us when we are walking side by side, as long as there is Love WE WILL STAND.” The tag line to that song stated, “If you believe in Jesus you belong with me.” I know that we will have differences with others who follow Christ, but if they believe in Jesus, then let’s build a bridge and work together. Teach Jesus As Truth Truth is debated every day and in every walk of life. In John 14:6 Jesus declared, " I am the way, the truth, and the life". We believe that truth is in the person of Jesus Christ and the relationship we have with him. Truth is not found in a religious structure or set of rules. Today’s society is looking for truth. We know that truth cannot be contained in a box called religious doctrine. We are not and will not be a fellowship that is determined to keep everyone in the same box. Truth is that God created all of us with individual personalities and talents to glorify him. All of us doing, acting, and living in the same box does not bring glory to our creator and his truth. We celebrate the fact that we know our God, not our group, is truth and that truth celebrates the fact that he created you in his image.

About Moldbreaker Fellowship

About Us Our Story In December 2009 a handful of believers got together in the living room of a house and had a Bible study. This group of believers felt God was leading them to start something fresh and new in Waco, Texas. By February the group had grown and moved into a hotel banquet room. At this point the pastors decided on a traditional name thus The Lighthouse Church was established. From there they moved to a larger hotel banquet room. Easter Sunday 2011 they had their first service in a rented storefront building at 1201 B Lake Air Dr. In 2012 The Lighthouse was going through a transition and the message laid on Pastor Tommy’s heart was to not be traditional. After preaching a series titled Break the Mold, he knew the direction God was leading. In 2013 The Lighthouse officially became Mold Breaker Fellowship. MBF is a group of people wanting to present Jesus in a way that is not traditional. In 2016 God gave us a bigger building with the ability to have sunday school. That building is located at 1545 Wooded Acres. Our Purpose At Mold Breaker we want to build a fellowship without the box of religion. We want to present a gospel built on our relationship with Jesus Christ. We also want to reach out to those who feel shunned by traditional religion and present to them that there is hope. Throughout the scripture we see Jesus ministering to broken people and those that for one reason or another were shunned by society and religion. We see him minister to the leapers, who were not permitted to hang out with society, the poor, who were pushed aside because of their status, and the sinner, like the woman about to be stoned because she was caught in adultery. Jesus told that lady he did not condemn her. Our main focus is to let people know that Jesus did not come to the world to condemn the world and neither do we. Our Core Values  Lead with Authenticity The leaders of MBF are honest and real about the challenges and victories that we experience in our daily walk with God.  Appreciate Diversity We find value in people, their stories and their unique gifts, empowering them to leverage who God has made them to advance His Kingdom.  Practice Generosity We believe in helping those who are less fortunate than us.  Build the Kingdom The entire body of Christ has value, we want to honor, uplift, and support all those who carry the torch for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Build the Community We believe that the community around us is important, because of that we want to feed, encourage, help, and be a pillar for those who live, work, and play around us.

BELIEFS

What We Believe The Bible is the inspired word of God We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testament, is God's Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives. (2 Timothy 3:15 - 17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21). There is One God We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10, 11; Mark 12:29). Jesus Christ is the Son of God We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ was begotten, not created, truly God, truly Man. He was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died a vicarious and atoning death for the sins of the world, resurrected bodily for our justification, and now reigns in glory until all things be put under His feet. (1 Timothy 3:16) We are saved by grace through faith We believe salvation comes through our faith that Jesus is the son of God that he died on a cross for our sins and he rose again so that we can live. His grace alone saves us not our works or the works of any other men. We are to be Baptized We believe that all of God’s people are to be buried with our Lord Jesus Christ in the waters of baptism, subsequent to conversion. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:4) The Holy Spirit still operates today We believe that the Holy Spirit dwells in all believers, conforming them to the image of Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:13, Romans 8:16 - 17) The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is an Endowment of Power We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is an endowment of power, subsequent to conversion, given by God to anoint the believer for sanctification and evangelism. It is our understanding that the supernatural charisma of the Holy Spirit is active within the Body of Christ until the coming of the Lord. Furthermore, we believe the development of the gifts of the Spirit ought to be encouraged under the guidance of local church authorities. (Acts 8:14-17, Acts 19:1-2, 1 Corinthians 12:4-7) The saints should be equipped for the Work of the Ministry We believe that the calling of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher are functional within the Body of Christ until the Lord’s return. Furthermore, these ministries are gifts to the Church for the purpose of equipping the saints for the work of the ministry, that the Body of Christ will be edified. (Ephesians 4:11-16) We believe that the ministry gifts listed in Ephesians 4 are still in operation today. (Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher) The Body of Christ is the Church We believe in the spiritual unity of all who are born of Jesus. We confess even those with whom we disagree, those who do not confess us, and others who we exclude because of our willful ignorance. (1 Corinthians 12:12-14) The local church is important to the Body of Christ We believe the identity of the Body of Christ on the earth is primarily perceived through the local church. While encouraging the voluntary association of local churches, and recognizing the need of consensus on matters of fundamental doctrine and conduct, we strongly confess the local church to be sovereign and autonomous. (Revelation 2-3) Looking forward to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ We believe in the literal second coming of our Lord, the literal rule of Christ upon the earth, the resurrection of the regenerate to eternal life and the unregenerate to eternal damnation, and the ultimate victory of the eternal Kingdom of God.(Acts 1:9-11, Daniel 12:2, Revelation 22:1 -7)
