About Liberty Community Church
A Church for Community
Liberty is a group of Christians who search for opportunities to help those in need or just to show our love and brotherhood in any kind of emergency. God has always intended for His church to grow both spiritually and numerically and we continue to work to this end.
Our church was founded as New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church on October 15, 1916. In partnership with the Baptist church, Liberty Methodist Church was reorganized in 1923. Currently both churches share the same church facilities and participate in worship on alternate weeks. The Baptist service is on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays and on the 2nd and 4th Sundays there is a Methodist service.
Every 5th Sunday the church has a service including the Lord’s Supper. Following the service there is a shared-dish picnic on the church grounds. All who would like to join in the picnic are welcome to participate.
