Our Mission

We seek to provide an opportunity for all people to experience the divine presence in their lives and to share that life with others.
St. Francis Community of Faith for All People, A Sanctuary for Spirituality Our Community is a Catholic, Non-Roman, Church who seeks to provide its members and the community of Long Island a place to develop their personal relationship with Jesus while deepening their faith with acts of charity to those less fortunate the poor, elderly, sick, imprisoned, those suffering from addiction and mental health concerns. We choose to express our Catholic faith and traditions which have been passed down from generation to generation through Baptism and Apostolic Succession, of its bishop, for we see in a rich tradition of Word and Sacrament the essence of the life and message of Jesus Christ, to love all people and the Divine as we love our self. The only cost of being a member is to have a desire to deepen one’s sense of spiritual wellness with the Indwelling of the Spirit. Those who come will find safety in the sanctuary of spirituality which they may call their spiritual home. The community of faith will provide food and clothing to the poor. In the spirit of St. Francis, we will own nothing and give all proceeds which are given to the community to those who are in need from the elderly who have no one to listen and comfort them to the child who is suffering from illness and needs a shoulder to cry on. Our only desire is to serve all those who the Divine sends our way who have become disenfranchised by their faith communities or society at large. All will be welcome regardless of who they choose to love and marry and how they live out their life. No one will be rejected from the sanctuary of spirituality we choose to call our Catholic Community.

About St. Francis Community of Faith for All People, "A Sanctuary for Spirituality"

Welcome to the new St. Francis Community of Faith for All People, "A Sanctuary for Spirituality ". We are a Catholic non Roman community who seeks to serve those who are seeking a personal relationship with the Divine. We are a member of the Catholic Diocese of One Spirit a international Catholic Non-Roman association of ecumenical believers. The only requirement to be a member is an open heart and mind to the Spirit. We invite all no matter your belief or lifestyle current or past to celebrate with us and share at the table of word and Eucharist. We are a new community and one of the first on Long Island. If you have become disillusioned with the need to prove yourself or have been alienated by any community we welcome you for we do not hold the right to deny anyone an experience of the Divine for our Lord never rejected anyone. In the spirit of St. Francis we see the indwelling presence of the Divine in all of creation and we serve all people in a spirit of peace, love and joy. Won't you come and share with us? I am sure you will experience a new open and safe community.

BELIEFS

We believe that we are all called to experience the Indwelling Trinty of the Divine's presence. We hold true to the apostolic call by Christ to preach the good news to all people and serve the poor. We find the Divine in many aspects of our faith life such as meditation and prayer both personal and communal and for those who choose the sacraments of baptism, confirmation, Eucharist, reconciliation, marriage, ordination of all who seek to serve and the anointing of the sick. While personal prayer is essential to deepen our relationship with the Divine we also believe that our community celebration of liturgy and fellowship calls us beyond ourself since our Divine is one who is found in relationship to and with others. We seek to serve those who have become disenfranchised by society or institutional religion of any faith and we welcome all faiths to share with us for we are all on the same journey in this life to fulfill and continue the mission of Christ. Ours is not a community of blame but love.
