About Twin Tiers Christian Church
We are a small neighborhood church with a big God! We are a Bible-based, Spirit-led, non-denominational group striving to be of service to the Corning/Painted Post region, and as such we believe that God has called Twin Tiers Christian Church to be a place where people can come together in a community of faith, lifting up Jesus Christ as Lord, and the Bible as the standard by which we should all live our lives.

BELIEFS
We believe in God, the Father, (Yahweh/Jehovah), the omnipotent One who is above all else in the universe.
We believe in the Holy Son of God, (Yeshua/Jesus), sent down from heaven, born of a virgin through the Holy Spirit, who grew to adulthood and gave His life that mankind may be saved from sin and eternal death. After three days in the grave he was resurrected and then He returned to heaven forty days later.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, which is given from God as a helper for us to grow in our spiritual walk with Him. We believe the Holy Spirit to be the source of true Godly teaching and a witness bearer to Christ.
We believe the Bible to be the absolute, authoritative, inspired Word of God written by men through guidance from the Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible to be God's message to humankind so that we may learn His will, His promises, and His purposes.
We believe that sin entered mankind through one man, that as a result all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God, and that sin is the cause of all death in mankind.
We believe that Salvation (redemption from sin) can only be accomplished through belief in the saving power of Christ's shed blood; there is no other name in which we can be saved.
We believe that Jesus Christ commanded us to observe Communion as a holy remembrance of His sacrifice for our Salvation. We believe that the Communion elements, the grape product and the bread, symbolize Christ's blood and body. We believe that Communion should be open to all who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior, regardless of denominational ties.
We believe that baptism symbolizes Christ's burial and resurrection; and that through acceptance of Christ's body and blood -- his death, burial, and resurrection -- we are saved. Also, because the Bible word for "baptism" is the Greek word "baptizo", which means to immerse or submerge, we perform immersion-only baptisms.
We believe that, at an appointed time known only by God, Jesus Christ will return to judge the world and separate the unbelievers from His faithful followers to be with Him always.
