Meet The Pastor
Senior Pastor Adam Smith
In June of 2016 Adam was called to serve as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville.
Adam was born and raised in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. In 2002 he married his wife, Sheila, and they lived in Grand Rapids until he was called as an Associate Pastor to Jefferson City, Missouri in 2014. They have two children, Jenny and Shawn.
Adam graduated from Cornerstone University with a Masters of Science in Ministry Leadership. He completed his Masters in Interdisciplinary Theological Studies from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary.
Adam loves the church and loves to preach. Very few things get him excited like prayerfully learning what the Bible is teaching, then teaching what he finds to those he cares about. He believes that there is nothing more important than God's truth. Conveying that truth in an understandable way that motivates belief and action is both an incredible responsibility and a great joy for him.
