We believe…

…in one God, creator and sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

…that Father, Son and Holy Spirit are equal in every divine perfection and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption.

…in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. This salvation is based upon the sovereign grace of God, was purchased by Christ on the cross, and is received through faith apart from any human merit, works, or ritual.

…salvation results in righteous living, good works, and proper social concern.

…that Jesus Christ is the Word of God incarnate, through whom everything was made and through whose life, death, and resurrection God fashions a new creation.

…the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings, complete as to the revelation of God’s will for salvation, and the supreme and final authority in all matters to which they speak.

We accept the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds as true declarations of the scriptural faith we believe, teach, and confess.

We believe, teach, and confess the Gospel, recorded in the Holy Scriptures and confessed in the ecumenical creeds and Lutheran confessional writings, as the power of God to create and sustain the priesthood of all believers for God’s mission in the world.
