Meet The Pastor

Bishop and Senior Pastor Sabra Johnson
Spiritual Life Coach- Pastor Sabra The Early Years- Our Pastor has a story which connects with this generation. Sabra Johnson (“Pastor Sabra”) has been specially prepared to lead this new movement. This grandson of a preacher-pastor and son of Jennie Collins and the late Harrison Johnson Jr. started his ministry career as a teen teaching biblical principles to his hard to reach peers as a volunteer evangelist at the local Youth Detention Center which served as a harbinger to his early work with Young Life International (as an urban staffer with assignments in Georgia and South Carolina). The South Carolina Young Life post was in conjunction with his work with youth affected by a “rash” of Church burning through his work with the South Carolina Burned Church Restoration Coalition. Through the years, he has served as urban youth minister, keynote crusade evangelist, victim advocate as well as senior pastor of the historic Doyle Grove Baptist Church in the exurb of Augusta Georgia and Catalyst for Change Community Church all before the age of 30… The Story of Sabra Johnson goes far beyond the resume. The Humpty Dumpty Experience- Our pastor has been a great business success (former operating owner of more than 30 restaurants throughout Georgia, Florida, Texas and Louisiana), a great pastoral success (City of Faith Church is his third pastoral assignment) and a great preaching success but what makes his story so unique and captivating to young people is the life trauma God in him has overcome: The loss of a father by the age of 3, victim of a drive-by shooting as a teen, tragic life threatening car accident as a young man, survivor of a fire escaping with 20% of third degree burns upon his body, loss of his first book manuscript, bankruptcy, loss of a lucrative regional food investment group, a public legal battle resulting in a true Humpty Dumpty loss of fortune-friends-freedom... Pastor Sabra Johnson has had his share of Humpty Dumpty like moments, yet God in him still stands and smiles despite life’s rain clouds. What a story! You will be encouraged to honor your feelings as Sabra Johnson guides you through a proven spiritual trail sure to overcome your most challenging life moments... The Story of Sabra Johnson goes beyond personal challenges. Helping Others Overcome- This seasoned preacher-pastor has developed a reputation across this country as a powerful life application teacher of the word of God through practical precepts and principles. Pastor Sabra Johnson has a remarkable gift to "teach". Pastor Sabra is one of America's greatest "least known" teachers of the scriptures with an emphasis on life application and mental empowerment. Throughout his ministry in churches, stadiums, prisons, living rooms, hospital rooms and even on the street corners men, women and children always learn under the anointed presence of Pastor Sabra with a bible in his hand. Pastor Sabra does not use notes or manuscripts, simply a bible and the anointed presence of God are his tools of ministry trade. “My life is a canvas upon which others can learn- My life reveals great moments of being vision driven by God and not so great moments of being driven by self. I have experienced much preventable life trauma through the self-driven acts of poor choices. Equally true is that life with God (the vision-driven life) has produced desirable life consequences... God has called me to tell my story- ‘I am Humpty Dumpty. I am a man whom has made many regrettable bad choices in every area of my life. I am also a man well acquainted with the awesome grace of God on display in one's life. It is the grace of God that brings success- not mere human actions and energies, but grace. I am called to share the story of God's Grace with the masses- I am simply a restored Humpty Dumpty reaching broken Humpty Dumpty’s through the grace of God. My story (our story) ends differently than the nursery rhyme, for God has proven faithful in putting me (and you) back together again. The City of Faith Church of Houston is my mission field assignment through which the grace of God is shared with all whom choose to enter."- Pastor Sabra Johnson The story of Sabra Johnson is entering a great new chapter. "It doth not yet appear what we shall be"
