Our Mission

The mission of (DTM) Dyer Times Ministries is to glorify God and His son, Jesus Christ by fulfilling the Great Commission (Mark 16:15-18) through various forms of ministry and to obey Christ’s mandate to: Preach the Gospel and make disciples of all nations, To heal the broken hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, Recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are bruised. To this end, we are committed to serving, strengthening and equipping the people of God in carrying out their respective ministries (Eph 4:11-13) and winning souls through evangelism. We minister mostly to those who need the Lord and spiritual help but are outside the organized church and do not have anyone that cares.

About Light of Faith Christian Ministries, Inc

We are a small church that excepts people for who they are. It is not our place to try and change anyone, God is the one that does the changing, we just do the loving. We do not expect people to buy new clothes to come to church. Come as you are jeans and t-shirts are fine, dress slacks and skirts are fine. We do not judge people, that also is God's job. We just do the loving. We have a Bible College that is called the DTM Bible Training Center which operates out of the church house. There is too much about us to explain here, just come and check out.

BELIEFS

The Bible is our all sufficient rule for faith and practice. Hence this statement of fundamental truths is intended as a basis of fellowship among us (ie., that we all speak the same thing. 1 Cor. 1:10) 1. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God, to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason. (2 Tim 3:16; 1 Peter 2:2) 2. We believe in one true God, eternally self-existent, who has further revealed Himself in the Triune Godhead, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isa 43:1) 3. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His present priestly ministry. 4. We believe man was created good and upright, for God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion . . . ” But man, by voluntary transgression fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (Gen. 1:26; Rom 5:12-21) 5. We believe in the ordinance of water baptism by immersion for all who have truly repented and accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. In so doing, they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Rom. 6:4) 6. We believe in the celebration of the Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements of bread and the fruit of the vine, being the symbol expressing our sharing the divined nature of the Lord Jesus Christ and as a memorial of His suffering and death. (1 Cor. 10:17; 1 Cor. 11:24-26). 7. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as on the Day of Pentecost and in the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit as evidenced in the gifts of ministries and in His fruit in the life of the believer. This wonderful experience is a distinct experience subsequent to the New Birth. (Acts 1:8; Luke 24:29; 1 Cor. 12:1-31; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 11:7-9). 8. We believe divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the Atonement and is the privilege of all believers. (Isa 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16-17) 9. We believe in the imminent personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory and in His present and everlasting dominion. (1 Thess. 1:7; Rev. 19:11-14; Rom 11:26-27; Rev. 20:1-7). 10. We believe there will be final judgment after the resurrection of the saved and lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal punishment, which is the second death. (Matt. 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Rev. 19:20; Rev. 20:11-15; Rev. 21:8)
