About Mercy Church
We are a young PCA church in Morgantown, West Virginia. We are a church that loves Christ and His mission! Our desire is to serve as a church for our region, so please consider joining us this Sunday. It will be our pleasure to welcome you. Whether you have questions or already know Christ, we hope Mercy Church can serve you in your faith journey. We are here for the "convinced" and the "unconvinced."
Worship
At Mercy, we view worship as a dialogue between God and His people. Every Sunday service is designed so that everyone can experience God’s work on our hearts, recall what He has done in redemption, and sing rich truths about who we are in Christ. Our aim is to follow the Lord Jesus’ words in John 4, to worship in Spirit and in truth.
Nursery
We have a nursery available that is a safe, clean environment for kids under the age of 5 so that parents are able to enjoy worship.
Music
At Mercy, we love to sing all kinds of worship songs, given that they are God-centered (Colossians 3:16-17, Psalm 150). A typical Sunday is composed of new, old, and those in-between. And much of what we sing are old hymns rearranged to new melodies, many of which are written by a band called Indelible Grace (www.igracemusic.com).

BELIEFS
We believe the Bible is the written Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.
We believe in the Holy Trinity. There is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that all are sinners and totally unable to save themselves from God’s displeasure, except by His mercy.
We believe that salvation is by God alone, as the Father sovereignly draws the person to Christ , based on His grace, not on any human individual merit, or foreseen faith.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through His perfect life and sacrificial death atoned for the sins of all who will trust in Him, alone, for salvation.
We believe that God is gracious and faithful to His people not simply as individuals but as families in successive generations according to His Covenant promises.
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells God’s people and gives them the strength and wisdom to trust Christ and follow Him.
We believe that Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all mankind and to receive His people to Himself.
We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
