I am truly grateful to have discovered this congregation. I'm the sort of heretical fellow who doesn't fit at other churches. This group accepts people not because they believe all the right things, but rather because they believe in the inherent worth of every...
Read more About Unitarian Universalist Congregation
The Mission of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation is to provide a liberal religious environment that promotes personal growth for adults and children in a caring community and that fosters actions in the world that reflect our Unitarian Universalist Principles.
What We Believe
Unitarian Universalist congregations affirm and promote seven Principles, which we hold as strong values and moral guides. We live out these Principles within a “living tradition” of wisdom and spirituality, drawn from sources as diverse as science, poetry, scripture, and personal experience.
The Principles are not dogma or doctrine, but rather a guide for those of us who choose to join and participate in Unitarian Universalist religious communities.
Seven Principles
1. The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
2. Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
3. Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
4. A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
5. The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process
6. The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
7. Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.
Our Minister
Rev. Julianne began as the Lifespan Minister for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Eau Claire in the fall of 2010. She believes that not only do we minister to each other, but we carry our passions, action and values into the wider world. Outreach and justice work are vital to living out our UU values. Julianne sees her ministerial role as preacher, advocate, dreamer, caregiver, and most importantly as a collaborator.
