About Reach Church
In 2017, one family and a handful of friends asked the question, "What would it look like to leverage our lives for Jesus like never before?" The gut-level response was to start a simple, Gospel-centered church that served Everett and the surrounding area. A church where both believers and skeptics could find their true identities as God's kids. A church where the imperfect might find a seat at God's table. A church for folks like us. Join us as we take steps towards Jesus, because steps like that are always worth taking.

BELIEFS
God Is.
The one and only true God exists eternally in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We call this mystery the Trinity. God created everything and everyone for his glory — He is both infinitely powerful (sovereign over all things) and intimately personal (pursues us for relationship).
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5-6, Isaiah 46:9-10; John 17:3; 1 Corinthians 8:4-6; 1 Timothy 2:5; Genesis 1:26; Psalm 45:6-7; Psalm 110:1; Matthew 3:13-17; Matthew 28:17-20; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6)
Sin is the problem.
Even though we were created in God’s very image, due to the entrance of sin into the world through Adam and Eve, all people are born in a state of spiritual brokenness. We prove this to be true with our tendency to rebel against God and his intent for our lives. Sin is the root of every problem in the world, affecting all people and even creation itself. The deserved penalty for sin is death, and without God stepping in to help, man is helpless in this state of guilt and brokenness, eternally separated from God.
(Genesis 6:5; Psalm 51:5; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:23; 5:8, 12-21; 7:18; Ephesians 2:1-3, Genesis 2:15-17; Genesis 3:19; Romans 5:12; 6:23; James 1:14-15)
Jesus is the answer.
The Gospel is the good news that through his death on the cross in our place and resurrection from the grave, Jesus, the sinless son of God, saves, sustains, sanctifies and satisfies, and sends broken people like us. This only comes to pass by grace, through faith, completely apart from works. We cannot earn our rescue — it is a free gift. When we receive that gift by trusting Jesus, we are forgiven and cleansed of our sins and given Christ’s perfect righteousness.
(John 1:29; 10:1-18; Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 1:4; 1 Peter 3:18)
God's people are the Church.
The church is not a building, event, or institution — it is God’s family, made up of all those who have trusted in Jesus, had their sins forgiven and have been made new by the power of the Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 16:15-19; Acts 2:41-42, 47; 5:11-14; 6:3-6; 14:23,27; 15:1-30; 16:5; 20:17-32; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 7:17; 9:13-14; 12:1-31; Colossians 1:18; 1 Timothy 3:1-15; 4:14; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4; Revelation 2-3; 21:2-3)
God sent us a Helper.
The Holy Spirit opens our ears to hear God’s truth, brings conviction in our hearts to turn away from sin, empowers us to love those around us, grows us more into the likeness of Jesus, assures us of our eternal inheritance as children of God, and entrusts us with spiritual gifts to help us carry God’s hope and healing into the world.
(John 14:16, 17, 26; 15:26-27; John 16:9-14; 1 Corinthians 12:13; 1 Corinthians 2:10-11; 3:16; 6:19;
2 Corinthians 3:6; Galatians 5:22-26; Titus 3:5; Romans 8:9,12-13; Ephesians 6:11-18)
Jesus is coming back.
Jesus is very much alive, having ascended into heaven after finishing his initial earthly mission. We eagerly look forward to the day he returns to establish his eternal kingdom, eliminate sin entirely, and wipe away every tear from every eye.
(John 14:3; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; Hebrews 9:28; 1 John 3:2; Revelation 1:7)
The Bible is God's Word.
Written by men under the direct inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Old and New Testaments are true in content, supreme in authority and complete in sufficiency.
(Psalm 19:7-11; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
