Sola's primary mission comes from the closing words of Jesus as recorded in Matthew’s Gospel--
known as The Great Commission:
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
(Matthew 28:18-20)
Jesus commissioned his followers to be disciples who make disciples. A disciple of Jesus is
committed to bringing all of life under the leadership of Jesus and helping others to do the
same. The mission of Sola Church is not just to grow a Sunday gathering or fill groups—our
utmost desire is to equip God's people to be disciples who make disciples.

BELIEFS
OUR BELIEFS
GOD - We believe in one God who exists in three distinct forms or persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became human to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.
HUMANITY - We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but became disconnected in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people alone are incapable of restoring a right relationship with God through their own efforts.
SCRIPTURES - We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by God to write the words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error and authoritative for spiritual and life direction.
SALVATION - We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers forgiveness and restoration to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as payment for their sin and a means of restoration to relationship with God. We call this The Good News.
CHURCH - We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him, living out his teachings and making him known to the lost world.
PURPOSE - We believe the purpose of Christians should be to live for Christ and not for ourselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer can and should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.
OUR AFFILIATIONS
Sola is part of Church Planting Northwest, a movement of leaders and churches committed to expanding the work of Jesus in and beyond the Pacific Northwest. Additionally, we hold to The Lausanne Covenant Statement of Faith.
