BELIEFS
WE BELIEVE THAT FAITH THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS WE HOPE FOR, AND THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN. Hebrews 11:1 11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
WE BELIEVE THATIT IS THROUGH THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS THAT WE ARE SAVED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ACTS 15:11, Ephesians 2:8 8For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God,
WE BELIEVE THAT ALL SCRIPTURE IS INSPIRED BY GOD AND IS USEFUIL TO TEACH US WHAT IS TRUE AND TO MAKE US REALIZE WHAT IS WRONG OUR LIVES. WE BELIEVE THAT THE WORD OF GOD CORRECTS US WHEN WE ARE WRONG AND TEACHES US TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT. THIS IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH 2 TIMOTHY 3:16
We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired, without error in the original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice.
We believe that there is only one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all and governs all.
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teaching, His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and personal, visible return to earth.
WE BELIEVE THAT HIS NAME IS ABOVE ALL NAMES IN ACCORDANCE WITH Philippians 2:9 9Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place, and gave Him the name above all names, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
We believe that people are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although each has a tremendous potential for good, all men are sinners by nature and choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe that God regenerates, by the Holy Spirit, those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ; we believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the biblical gifts of the Spirit.
We believe that marriage should be held in honor by all and is more than partnership; it is union through self-denial. Marriage is an expression of covenant love and sacrifice between a man and woman. Procreation and maturation should take place in the context of covenant love, security, discipline and identity. The increased divorce rate is a tragedy of our times, and deeply affects all of our lives. We seek to serve redemptively in the lives of those who have been touched by divorce, and preventively in the lives of those who are joined in marriage. “Let marriage be held in honor among all.” (Hebrews 13:4)
We believe God has given His Commandments for our good and when properly administered will bless all of society. The moral relativism and situational ethics of present day culture are often in direct contrast to God’s truth as revealed in the Scriptures. The Word of God teaches us to honor life at every level from conception to old age. Life itself is a gift, and we are called to protect the defenseless and unwanted. We believe both abortion and euthanasia are wrongful and preemptive terminations of life. Likewise, biogenetic engineering which dehumanizes and depersonalizes life into non-human research and “throw-away” parts is of deep moral concern. Scientific advances do not negate God’s glory and the inherent value and stewardship of human life (Psalm 139; Gal. 1:15 ; Gen. 2:7).
We believe our identity is in Christ and it is His Word that is to govern our lives and lifestyles. We believe heterosexual marriage is God’s design for sexual relations and procreation. We believe the practice of homosexuality is a behavioral choice that is contrary to the Word of God. Sexual immorality of any kind is grievous
We believe in the personal, visible return of Christ to earth for the establishment of His kingdom; in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked. About the Priesthood of every Believer – The Bible teaches that every Christian is called to "fulltime" Christian service, regardless of his or her vocation. We practice the truth that every believer is a minister by encouraging every member to find a place of service and ministry. Every believer has direct access to God through prayer and Bible reading.
We practice laying-on-of-hands for the baptism with the Holy Spirit, and believe that there will be a subsequent spiritual manifestation. Divine Healing – We practice laying on of hands for the sick and the prayer of faith to accompany healing. We believe God still does miracles today and petition Him regularly to intervene.
WE BELIVE THAT IS EVERY BELIVER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO TELL OTHERS ABOUT CHRIST. It is the responsibility of every Christian to share the Good News with those God brings us in contact with. We practice personal sharing about Christ and inviting friends to church. Matthew 28:19 18Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you.
WE BELIEVE THAT THROUGH CHRIST WE CAN DO EXCEEDINGLY MORE IN ACCORDANCE WITH EPHISIANS 3:20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us”. According to the power that worketh in us - All that he can do, and all that he has promised to do, will be done according to what he has done, by that power of the holy Ghost την ενεργουμενην, which worketh strongly in us - acts with energy in our hearts, expelling evil, purifying and refining the affections and desires, and implanting good.
WE BELIEVE IN THE GIFT OF THE SPIRIT. Ephesians 4:8 8This is why it says: “When He ascended on high, He led captives away, and gave gifts to men.”
