Dr. David V. Silvernail, Jr. is the Senior Pastor of Potomac Hills, serving here for 22 years. He writes: "I've been married to Joanne for over 36 years now and we love being grandparents! We have five truly amazing children and nine wonderful grandchildren: David (his wife Rachel and their five children - Nathaniel, Caleb, Ben, Toby, and Amelia), Rebecca Karos (her husband John and their son George), Sarah Surface (her husband Andy and their children James, Emma, and Paul), Daniel (who works as a consultant for a major government contractor), and Samuel (newly married to Jillian). We also have a sweet black & white dog named Flo."
Dave serves as a Guest Lecturer in Practical Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary, Washington, DC where he teaches Preaching and Church Polity. Dave earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis (May 2006). His doctoral dissertation was entitled, “The Preaching Practices of Evangelical Pastors in the Newer Churches of Loudoun County, Virginia.” Click the title to download a 30-page summary.
