About Pantops Community Church
Pantops Community Church is a community minded Baptist church in Charlottesville Virginia. Our motto is "Warm-hearted Fellowship and Thoughtful Inquiry". We partner with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, Baptist General Assembly of Virginia, and the Central Virginia Baptist Association. Our church recently adopted a Welcome Statement which you can read on our website. We are a caring, open-minded, Kingdom-of-God focused community of faith seeking to make a difference in our neighborhood.

Of any human organization on this fragmented planet, we believe the church should be a place where all people are welcomed to join a community united by the grace, love, and forgiveness we have found in Jesus Christ. God has called us to the ministry of reconciliation as we learn and grow in our faith. In all that we say and do, we proclaim God's wide welcome to all, especially those who have known the pain of exclusion or discrimination in church and society. Therefore, our church strives to be a people of grace, and we welcome all God's children regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, nationality, ethnicity, marital status, physical or mental ability, or political stance. When we say we welcome all to worship and serve with us, "all" means all.
