First Presbyterian Church, a congregation of ECO: A Covenant Order of Presbyterians, has as its vision that all may know Jesus as Lord and Savior. The church's mission is to produce authentic disciples of Jesus Christ who embrace biblical truth, embody Christian love, and impart Christ's gospel to the world. Our church hosts a preschool (TLC, or The Learning Center) and enrolls children 6 months through four years old.
BELIEFS
We are faithful to the Scriptures, true to the Reformed faith, and obedient to the Great Commission. We subscribe to the Essential Tenets of ECO: A Covenant Order of Presbyterians, uphold the Nicene and Apostles' Creeds along with the Westminster Confession of Faith and Larger and Shorter Catechisms. We believe heartily in the five "solas" of the Reformation: sola Scriptura (Scripture alone), sola gratia (grace alone), sola fides (faith alone), solus Christus (Christ alone), and soli Deo gloria (to God alone be glory). We also embrace the Doctrines of Grace: the total depravity of man, the unconditional election of God, particular atonement, irresistible grace, and the preservation of the saints.
