“What We Believe” adopted by Caney Baptist Church

God- We believe there is one and only one true God who exists in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the infinite Creator, Preserver, Redeemer, and Holy Ruler of the universe.

Lord Jesus Christ - We believe Jesus is the eternal Son of God. He was Virgin born, lived a sinless life, died an atoning death, was bodily resurrected, and shall return to set up his eternal kingdom.

The Holy Spirit - We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity. He indwells and empowers every born-again believer. He gives spiritual discernment to believers so they can understand the Bible, and he leads them to do God's will.

Salvation - We believe that all who receive Jesus Christ as their savior by faith are saved from eternal damnation. His salvation is offered freely by grace to all who repent and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We believe salvation is a gift from God, apart from any works, and true believers will reveal their salvation through changed lives.

The Bible - We believe the Scriptures were divinely inspired and are therefore infallible and inerrant in the original writing. The Bible reveals God's message and will remain to the end of this age the supreme authority by which all doctrine and conduct must be judged.

Lords Supper - We believe that the wine and the bread represent the blood and the body of Christ offered as an inexhaustible sacrifice for the sins of mankind. We share the Lord's Supper with all who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and entered into the family of God.

Missions - We give a percentage of the total plate offering at the end of each Quarter. We support our Missionaries through Central Missionary Clearinghouse in Houston, Texas. All the money sent, goes directly to the missionaries.
