Meet The Pastor

Pastor Neil Schultz
Neil Schultz has more than 25 years of ministry experience, including 12 years in senior pastor roles and 8 years in military chaplaincy. He has been bi-vocational pastor since 2007, and has started up and sold two for-profit businesses.
Neil is passionate about coaching leaders at all levels, especially those executives with a faith-based background. He seeks to eliminate unnecessary suffering by helping leaders leverage their strengths, overcome their weaknesses, and identify their blind spots. Neil sees the end result of his coaching producing leaders who are healthier and more productive as they discover how their personal preferences, thinking, branding, leadership skills and perspective shapes the organizations and communities they serve.
Currently, Neil serves as COO of CareerUpgrader.net, a career coaching, resume writing and reverse recruiting firm where he helps mid-to-senior level executives in career transition get clear, get noticed and get hired and thrive in work they love faster than going it alone.
He also currently serves as Pastor of Forest Grove Church in Lucas, TX, a Texas Historical Marker, but more importantly a loving and growing community of Christ-followers intentional about loving and reaching Lucas, Allen and McKinney and surrounding areas.
Prior to this, Neil was a full time senior pastor and church planter at a number of non-denominational churches, a part-time Chaplain at Baylor, Scott & White hospital of McKinney, TX, and a full-time Hospice Chaplain in Dallas, TX.
Neil also has a distinguished military career, receiving an honorable discharge as a Captain in the US Air Force. Neil earned the US Air Force Achievement Medal for successful suicide interventions, resulting in 17 Airmen lives saved in one year and advising the National Guard Chaplain leadership in Washington, DC on best practices in suicide prevention and intervention. He is a keynote speaker on entrepreneurial leadership, career transition, and suicide prevention through Biblical self-care.
Licensed in 1998 by the Conservative Baptist Association, Ordained in 2007 by the Evangelical Free Church of America, Neil was also ordained in 2016 by the Southern Baptist Convention.
