Meet The Pastor

E.B. Washington
Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. Pastor Dr. Eddie Washington was born in Leesburg, Georgia on November 4th to David and Lucy Washington, who has gone on to be with the Lord. In May 2012, Dr. Washington graduated from Bethany Divinity College & Seminary, the Albany campus (Dothan, AL), with a Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Ministry. Currently Dr. Washington is enrolled in Bethany Divinity College & Seminary (Albany, GA), in pursuit of additional certifications in Pastoral Ministry. In ministry, he has a zeal for practical Christian Education, through which he works to make the doctrine of the grace of God, which is inherent in the Scriptures, applicable to daily living. Among his many educational achievements, nothing renders him prouder than his personal achievement of being the loving father of his children and grand children. Dr. Washington is a passionate leader, dynamic teacher, powerful preacher, and an anointed visionary; who was called to Pastor Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in June, 2013. Celebrating his recent union is his loving wife, Dr. Lodessa Washington. Also, Pastor Washington proudly serves as the Pastor of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church (Arlington, GA). His 23 years of pastoral excellence began in 1990 when Greater United Pleasant Green Baptist Church (Leesburg, GA) inaugurated him as their Pastor. Three years later, he was chosen to Pastor Oak Grove Baptist Church (Camilla, GA). In 2008, he became the Pastor of New Jerusalem Baptist Church (Dawson, GA). In addition to pastoring, in 2006 he retired from Delphi Automotive as a Team Leader (Fitzgerald, GA). He is occasionally called upon to preach and teach at various churches throughout southwest Georgia and surrounding countries. Pastor Dr. E.B. Washington’s favorite quote and scripture: Dr. Washington is driven by his passion to empower the people of God to reach their full potentials in Christ. He believes that the Bible is the divine revelation and communication of God Word, that "all scripture is given by inspiration of God" (2 Timothy 3:16).
