Pastor Gregory L. Urquhart
Pastor Gregory L. Urquhart, born September 6, 1970, is a native of Norfolk , VA. Born of Christian parents, he is a devoted Christian activist concentrating his efforts advocating on behalf of the poor and needed people of the local community. He is has served his country in the US Army for over twenty-three years and has numerous prestigious awards for his dedicated service, and retired from Active Duty Army March 2013 while assigned at Fort Hood, TX. He is a graduate of ITT Technical Institute where he earned his Associate degree in Computer programing, and graduated from Liberty University with a B.S of Theology and Religious studies.
Pastor Urquhart served as the youth pastor before he preached his first sermon, entitled " Those Who Thirsts For Christ", in April 2009, under the pastorate of Bishop Victor Gordon Sr, the Sr. Pastor and founder of True Worship Temple of Holiness and former Superintendent of the A.L. Thomas district C.O.G.I.C. Bishop Gordon later licensed Gregory to preach in March 2010 and ordained him as Assistant Pastor in March 2011.
Over the past three years Pastor Urquhart has been a leader in his community. He speaks to wounded Soldiers and Soldiers suffering with PTSD. He and his wonderful wife Dahlen also opened a bead store that not only sells beading products but helps to produce income for the local community; teaching members of the community skills which they can use to earn income from a program called Bead Life.
Pastor Urquhart has been married for 11 years to his lovely wife Dahlen, and they are the proud parents of four lovely daughters. Pastor Urquhart is the Pastor and founder of New Beginnings Christian Church located in Killeen Texas.
