BELIEFS
1. We believe God’s infinite love is available to all.
God desires a relationship with all creation and offers this relationship to everyone. There is no limit to God’s love, and God freely offers salvation to all.
2. We believe Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is our Savior.
Jesus is the embodiment of God’s love. His sacrificial death and resurrection enables humanity to establish a personal relationship with God. He frees us from our selfish, sinful nature. Jesus saves us from death, and His promise of eternity saves us from hopelessness.
3. We believe the Holy Spirit is God’s presence with us.
The Holy Spirit, along with the Father and the Son, is the active, abiding presence in our lives. Especially in difficult times, God is with us. We are not alone. Thanks be to God!
4. We believe the purpose of the Church is to be God’s instrument of love in the world.
As the Body of Christ, the Church, we are called to be His disciples. We seek to be God’s hands reaching out to the world, sharing the Gospel and serving others with love.
5. We believe through worship, prayer, scripture, and community, God challenges, guides and comforts us.
God reaches us wherever we are on our faith journey. The circumstances of life give us opportunities to open ourselves to God. Worship, prayer, and the interaction of faithful Christian friends help us to grow, offer us peace and compel us to respond.
