Our Mission

UPON THIS ROCK I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH Jesus said, “Upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven...
“He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.” (Eph 4. 11-13). May we give you a brief backdrop of a couple significant encounters that has formed the mission of Acts In Motion Christian Church. In 2002, Jeffrey and Alina Parrott, had a life changing encounter with God while reading the Book of Acts. God especially highlighted Acts 4:32-35, “the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one mind:… and great grace was upon them all.” He said, “Acts In Motion, I want to make you an expression of the NEW early church. Do not try to recreate the wheel, I already have My pattern. I will breath a fresh breath on it for this generation.” Thus, God writing new chapters of Acts with a new generation of believers. At that time God seeded a deep longing in their hearts for authentic kingdom life where believers were of one heart and mind. Status quo, business as usual… the Laodicean religious slumber just doesn’t satisfy. The questions arose, is there more then this? What is God’s pattern for life? How does Christ define the “real” church (ekklesia)? Jeffrey and Alina have traveled across the world looking for answers like searching for hidden treasure–very rare, incredibly valuable, and hard to find. Since that time until now that same passion burns, yet the answer has been discovered. The revelation of the eternal pattern is more simple then ever imagined–Christ is the center of all things. If we know Him… we know life; We know purpose; We know significance; We know the pattern. Furthermore, In 2012, the Father brought more clarity when He asked us a very interesting question, “Do you want to know my mission statement?” He said, “I want to see the reflection of my Son in my people. Now go serve their destiny.” That thought provoking question keeps us focused on what really matters for eternity: making disciples of Christ that bear His image. In simple terms, our mission is radical obedience to Christ’s pattern–Himself. Taking the keys of the kingdom to unlock hearts, equip the saints, and make disciples who can make disciples.

About Acts In Motion Christain Church

WELCOME TO ACTS IN MOTION CHRISTIAN CHURCH. An Expression of the New Early Church: One King. One Kingdom. One Life. What is Acts In Motion? First, to be clear, the church is NOT a brick and mortar building nor State religious institution. The church is “living stones… a spiritual house, an holy priesthood…” (1 Pet. 2:5) The church is the body with Christ as Head, the bride of Christ and the prized possession of Christ. The church is family where we are brothers and sisters with Yahweh as Father. So Acts In Motion is a body of people pursuing total surrender to the eternal pattern–Christ. With this understanding, our passion is to equip the saints to, first, know their identity as “Sons” and “Citizens” in the kingdom of God. Knowing our identity is the catalyst that empowers us to love one another and unite with “one heart.” (Acts 4:32) As Yahweh’s people we pray that you will receive more revelation from the Holy Spirit of your design and mature into the fullness of Christ’s likeness. In other words, our hearts burn to experience the maximization of manifestation of the kingdom of God within you (Lk. 17:21). As a result, we believe the life of Ya’shua ha Meshiach (Jesus the Christ) will impact the world through His holy people, as kingdom conduits. What does this look like? A people who are immovable lovers of God that stay their course no matter the circumstances. By faith, expecting that everywhere His saints go, there is breakout of righteousness, justice, liberty, healing, deliverance, thankfulness, faith, hope, and love. We are “ambassadors for Christ” (2 Cor. 5:20). May we represent Him well without hypocrisy. It is very interesting that Paul the apostle refers to us as ambassadors. Why? Ambassadors do not operate in their own opinion, by their own authority or with their own power–their identity is Christ. This is important to understand, especially with the strong delusion of this Laodicean generation. (Rev. 3:14-22) Ambassadors for Christ represent the Kingdom of God as they venture into other jurisdictions bringing LIFE to the world, not mixing with it. We pray that Christ will burn in a remnant of believers to “come out” (Rev. 18) from the influence of the “prince of this world” (Jn. 14:30) to advance the “Kingdom of God at hand” (Mk. 1:15). Fidelity to Christ and His ways alone. Selah. “Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Rom. 12:2).

MINISTRIES AND GROUPS

School of Life Discipleship.

BELIEFS

One King. One Kingdom. One Life. Our core value is “Christocentric”: everything in existence is centered around Christ and for His glory. As disciples, we desire that our lifestyle, doctrine, and worldview reflects Christ’s beauty, nature, and preeminence. (Col. 1:15-19) We believe loving the Father means that all Christians should define themselves as passionate worshipers of their Creator. Therefore we value the opportunity to worship God freely and expressively in songs, movement, acts of service, and giving both in corporate gatherings and through our individual lives, as living sacrifices. (Rom. 12:1) Our aim is to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. We believe that loving our neighbors means that Acts in Motion Christian Church should be a community. Therefore we believe that relationships are vital, and that building meaningful friendships in the Body of Christ is foundational to fulfillment in Christ. We value lives in the family of God and we share life through home fellowships as well as corporate meetings. Central to the life of this ministry is love, encouragement, care, (Gal. 6:2) equipping, and activation found in the Holy Scriptures. We believe all are equal and have their place no matter race, age, gender, or class in this ministry. (1 Cor. 14:26) We believe that God has given the gifts of the Holy Spirit to function in the Body today. In Christ’s Body, we anticipate that every gift will be maximized and functioning properly for the edification of the whole Body. (Rom. 12:4-8; 1 Cor. 12:4-11: Eph. 4:11-16) Therefore our aim is for everyone, through the equipping of the Holy Spirit and the government of God, to identify their spiritual gifts and callings. We expect to see God inspired gifts operating in everyday situations and every time we assemble. Acts in Motion Christian Church is a place where people can discover what abilities Jesus Christ has given them and where they should use their gifts to serve in His Kingdom. We believe that Christ’s followers should grow to maturity. Therefore we believe that God’s people should be open to change, humble, teachable, follow Scriptural conflict resolution, and proactive in learning. They should have an unfolding and expanding sense of what it means to grow into the image of Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ has given the ministries of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher through gifted people to prepare God’s people for works of service. This is to build up Christ’s Body until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of the Christ. (Eph 4: 11-16) We recognize that specific individuals are God’s gifts to the Body today. We will actively raise up and network with these ministries to inspire, equip, and impart their gifts to us. We believe that Christ’s Body should grow both in terms of numbers and influence. Therefore we believe that God’s people should have a strong revelation of His Kingdom. We have an expectation for new converts to be added to God’s Kingdom and therefore to this local body. We also anticipate that God’s people will take every opportunity to influence the world as salt and light, taking seriously Christ’s commission to disciple nations. (Matt. 28:18-20; Romans 10:13-15) We believe that Acts In Motion Christian Church should be an equipping and sending ministry. We encourage God’s people to have an outward focus–others mindedness. We value sharing gifting, support and resources both across the region and throughout the world as bridge builders. Our desire is to disciple and send ministers out with passion for Christ and an understanding to build relationally. At Acts in Motion Christian Church we are in a process of being prepared to go into all the world, as God’s ambassadors.
