Meet The Pastor
Lead Pastor Matthew Castillo
Pastor Matthew Castillo is the pastor of Believers in Christ Church. He and his wife Vanessa founded the church in 2017 and began having Sunday morning services at Colonial Manor Nursing Home on August 27th, 2017. On November 5th, 2017 Believers in Christ CLG held their first service at their new location at 109 E 8th Ave York, Pennsylvania.
Prior to founding Believers in Christ Church Reverend Matthew served as the Executive Director of Rehoboth Temple Church of the Living God in York, Pennsylvania. He began ministering and preaching the Word of God in 2014 at New Beginnings Ministry in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania under the leadership of Bishop Vibert LaRose. While at New Beginnings he was head of the Adult Cell Group Ministry. Later in 2014 Reverend Castillo received the Man of Valor award from the African American Network of the Poconos for community service work and for providing jobs in the community through his insurance agency. After marrying his wife Vanessa and moving to York county Pennsylvania in 2015 Matthew was ordained as a reverend under pastor Elder Curtis Hopkins Jr. of Rehoboth Temple CLG with a spiritual covering from Bishop Ivy A. Hopkins of Grace Temple Church of the Living God
