Meet The Pastor

Pastor Lisa. R. Richbourg
Rev. Lisa R. Richbourg From the humble beginnings of a classroom volunteer in the Pittsburgh Public Schools Head Start Program to her retired position of Assessment Assistant, Rev. Lisa R. Richbourg was employed with the Pittsburgh Public School Board for over 25 years. Teaching and reaching people has always been her passion and she is known for spending countless hours ministering to people "outside" the church. This led her to seek formal education in Ministry and in 1994 she enrolled in Harty Bible School. After graduating from Harty Bible School in 1998, she later enrolled in Robert Morris University receiving an Bachelor of Science in Organization Leadership in May 2008. She continued her education with a Graduate Degree in Business Administration from Point Park University in May, 2009. In August 2010 she preached her initial sermon and was granted licensure to preach the Gospel, and in December of 2013 she successfully completed ordination at Central Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Victor J. Grigsby. During her time at Central Baptist Church, she served in numerous positions which included Executive Director for the Music Ministry, and a Teacher for the Disciples for Christ Ministry. Her passion for teaching led her to teach the S.A.L.T. (Seven Areas of Life Training) Curriculum to the congregation of Second Baptist Church in Ford City where she assisted Pastor Kent Commodore on a monthly basis. In response to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, in January 2015, she began to teach Bible Study weekly at Pilgrim Baptist Church on the Northside of Pittsburgh while they were without a Pastor. On June 18, 2017, God, in His wise providence, saw fit to call her to the Pilgrim Baptist Church vineyard as their first female pastor.
