Meet The Pastor
Pastor Sarah Daniels Roncolato
When I came to Allegheny College as a student in the fall of 1976, I had no idea I would meet my husband there and that together we would make Meadville our home. In this community we raised our family. Out of this community we continued our education driving back and forth to Pittsburgh getting a Masters of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (me) and a Doctorate in Theology from Duquesne (Dave). Who knew that having been a lay member of Stone Church for fifteen years I would one day serve as pastor? Now in my tenth year, I feel so very blessed!
Our two daughters and two sons have created families and careers in a variety of places giving us six marvelous little grandsons. Both my mother and Dave's father live here in Meadville so we do have family close.
For recreation, Dave and I love biking in the summer and cross country skiing in the winter. I love to read and hate to garden. As a pastor I am committed to the care of all people. For twenty-five years I have been a Reconciling United Methodist, supportive of full inclusion in the church of LGBTQIA persons. I am also deeply committed to the work of dismantling racism in the church and in our communities.
One of my favorite scripture verses comes from Paul's Letter to the Ephesians; “Now to the One who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen”
