We trust the fellowship and teaching of God's Word will meet the needs of your life.
The Mission of this Church is the salvation of souls, the edification of Christians through the teaching of God's Word, the world-wide proclamation of God's saving grace expressed in the shed blood and finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary, the promotion of Godly worship, "...contended earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints" Jude 3 NASB, and cooperation with Christian activity functioning in harmony with God's Holy Word - The Bible - until He comes.

About Hillside Bible Church
Hillside Bible Church is ten miles out of Forest Grove, OR, in the foothills of the Coastal Mountain Range. We are located approximately 45 miles west of Portland, OR, and about that far east of the coast. The beauty of several filbert orchards surrounds our picturesque little white county church. The church was built in 1884, and we’re still using the same building. Up until November 2015, we were still using the same kitchen! We do have a schoolhouse on the property, built in 1864. It’s used for VBS, classrooms, etc., and is actually a museum now, listed with the State Historical Society.

BELIEFS
1.) We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New testaments as inspired of God and inerrant in the original writings and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. II Timothy 3:16,17,
II Peter 1:21, I Corinthians 2:13.
2.) We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Deuteronomy 6:4, II Corinthians 13:14.
3.) We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man Isaiah 9:6, Luke 1:34-35, John 1:1&14.
4.) We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; that in this way death came to all men because all sinned Genesis 1:27, Genesis 2:17, Genesis 3:6, Romans 5: 12-21.
5.) We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood and resurrection. Romans 4:5, I Corinthians 15:3, II Corinthians 5:21, I John 1:7
6.) We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there for us, High Priest and Advocate. I Corinthians 15:4, Hebrews 4:14, I John 2:1,
Acts 1:9.
7.) We believe in “that blessed hope”, the personal, pre-millennial, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Titus 2:13, Philippians 3:20, I Thessalonians 4:13-18, Zechariah 14:4-11,
Revelation 20:6.
8.) We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. John 1:12, Ephesians 2:8-10.
9.) We believe in the whole hearted devotion to the cause of Christ as the only scriptural basis for a happy and useful Christian life, and separation of the believer from all worldly practices. I John 2:15-17,
Titus 2:11-14.
10.) We believe in bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, in the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost. John 5:28-29, II Thessalonians 1:7-9, Revelations 20:11-15.
11.) We believe that the Lord’s Supper is a Memorial service and is the setting forth in a sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ upon our behalf. I Corinthians 11:23-26.
12.) We believe in Baptism with water “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost”, to show forth in a solemn and beautiful emblem our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior, with its effect, our death to sin and resurrection to a new life. Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12, Matthew 28:19, Acts 10:47-48.
