Pastor-Teacher Alan Sherban
I thank God that I was taught His Word clearly from as early as I can remember, and it is now the most sobering reality in my life that my obligation is to make those same truths known to the people at BCF, as well as to those in our community. The Apostle Paul taught us that "faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the Word of Christ" (Romans 10:17) - thus I consider it my highest priority as the pastor at Bethany to proclaim this glorious Word with clarity, accuracy, and authority.
My undergraduate degree was earned from Bob Jones University, in the field of Biology. I then worked toward completing an M.A. in Educational Administration from the same institution before deciding to pursue vocational pastoral ministry. For the M.Div. degree, I took courses from both The Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, CA and Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY, ultimately graduating from TMS in May of 2016.
While completing my Master's of Divinity degree I served in various roles in two different churches - Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA and Truth Community Church in Cincinnati, OH. Thus my current ministry is indebted to not only the instruction granted to me in the classroom, but also to loving pastors who invested into me with their time, wisdom and pastoral care.
My wife's name is Christy, and we have 5 children ranging in ages from 9 to 2.
