Meet The Pastor

Rector Julie Fisher
The Rev. Julie Blake Fisher, Rector
The Reverend Julie Blake Fisher has served Holy Trinity since August 1, 2022. She comes to us from another Ohio college town, Kent, where she served Christ Episcopal Church as Rector for almost 16 years.
From a very early age, Julie felt a clear call to the priesthood. She was the first female acolyte in her home parish in Buffalo. When she enrolled at the University of Virginia, she became active at St. Paul’s Memorial Church while she double-majored in Government and Religious Studies. While at UVa she also studied abroad in England at Cambridge University for two terms studying Anglican Theology. After graduation, Julie worked as a Human Resources Development professional where she developed skills in organizational development, communication, and strategic planning for nonprofit organizations (including a large teaching hospital). After earning a Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary she gained experience in youth ministry (including founding a puppet ministry) at parishes in Nebraska before coming to Ohio.
The joy and self-confidence Julie displays are exhibited in her abilities to build relationships, empower healthy collaboration, and create meaningful liturgical experiences. Julie is a dedicated ally to the LGBTQIA+ community. And as a cancer survivor, she has a strong affinity for people with health challenges.
In her spare time she practices fiber arts, studies historical costume, and is at work on the next phase of her viral art project, Episcopal Priest Barbie (Google it!). Julie is having a wonderful time getting to know the Oxford community with her husband Kip Colegrove, a retired Episcopal priest and fellow ardent cat lover and Star Trek fan.
