Dr. Carl Pace
The foundation of my call to ministry is in passion for the study of Scripture. As a life-long learner, a teacher, and pastor, I long to care for and add value to people's lives by connecting them with the God of the Bible as revealed in Jesus Christ.
I believe the Bible is a challenging, provocative, and extremely relevant collection of texts that has so much to say and much to offer to people today. I also believe it is best understood in its ancient contexts, in dialogue with modern thought. Studying Scripture can be an eye-opening, life-giving journey - let me walk it with you!
I'm a husband and father to a large family, some of whom we've welcomed in as part of our foster parenting journey. I am so blessed that my wife and my children encourage me, shape me, and challenge me.
I'm trying my best to shepherd this historical congregation and to help anyone God sends my way, albeit in unavoidably human ways! But I believe there is a place for me and there's a place for you as part of God's Kingdom here at Zion, where we can learn, grow, and be changed for the good together.
