About Christ Episcopal Church
Our work here at Christ Episcopal Church regards reducing food insecurity among children. We are collaborating with the Center for Food Action to provide local school children with weekend snack bags. We operate a food pantry. We sponsor the following events for community children: Breakfast with Santa, Trunk or Treat, Easter Egg Hunt, Apple/pumpkin picking, Pentecost celebration of flight, Backpack giveaway and a Pool Party. At each event, the community children receive a healthy meal/breakfast. We serve a sit-down, Thanksgiving meal to families with children, (more than 500 fed last year), at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Paterson, NJ. Church membership is not required. Finally, church members support two schools in Haiti.

LGBT youth need our help! Gun violence must be addressed and intransigent legislators need to hear our voices! All children deserve to live in safety and all children deserve to eat! Help us establish an early childhood, Montessori based learning center for low/no-income children. Come serve with us!

Our worship tradition is Anglican/Episcopal, therefore, we celebrate a service of word and Eucharist. The Book of Common Prayer provides a framework for our worship, yet our servicer is participatory and expressive. We use the the traditional 1982 Hymnal, LEVAS, Taize and even popular music at times.
All members of the community are welcomed to participate as servers and readers.
BELIEFS
We believe that reason, tradition, and the scriptures guide our worship and our actions. We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord of all however, on our journey as a community of faith and effort, we are not all at the same point in our spiritual development, and that's ok!
We do not believe that we are able to identify the hellhound or the heaven bound.
We are open, affirming, and committed to the full participation of all seekers, regardless of sexual orientation, gender or age. We are not perfect and we don't expect you to be either. COME AS YOU ARE!
