Meet The Pastor

Pastor Joshua Edward
Pastor Joshua Edward
Joshua Edward was born in 1988, moving from Yonkers, NY to upstate NY. Josh came to accept Christ as his Lord and Savior at a very young age after hearing the Gospel presented to him at a youth retreat. Josh has taken on various roles in his churches since his early teens from ushering to teaching. As Josh entered into high school he began to pray and ask God what He wanted him to do with his life. As the years came and went Josh struggled with his calling, but through support, and confirmation after confirmation Josh accepted his calling to the pastorship immediately after graduating from Ramapo Senior High School. Josh attained his B.S. in Pastoral Ministry in 2010 from Nyack College, and later attained his Master of Divinity in 2013 from Alliance Theological Seminary. Josh came to Riverside Community Church as an intern in 2012 with the mission to launch a youth program. After one year of successfully accomplishing that task, Josh filled the pulpit for his home church, The Rock in Nyack, NY, as well as filling in for his mentor, Rev. Hector Ramirez, at RCC when needed. In 2016, Josh was brought on as Assistant Pastor, at RCC with the intent of stepping into the senior position within a year and a half. Joshua was mentored, coached and managed by Rev. Hector Ramirez and upon his retirement in 2017, Joshua was called to be the Senior Pastor over Riverside Community Church.
