Meet The Pastor

Pastor Jack R. Roegner
Tri-Saints Lutheran Parish, St. Paul, Hardy, St. Peter, Byron, and St Paul, Byron is served by Pastor Jack Roegner. Pastor Jack is married to Rev. Beth Roegner, Pastor of Christ¹s and Zion Lutheran in Davenport and Carleton. They have two adult children, William, and Jeffrey, who live in Eaton, OH and Richmond, IN.
Pastor Jack was born and raised in Decatur, IL which at that time was considered the Soybean Capital of the World. ADM and AE Staley Co. were both headquartered in Decatur and processed 40% of all soybeans worldwide.
Pastor Jack graduated from MacArthur High School in Decatur, earned an Associate of Arts degree in Speech and Theatre at Richland Community College, and a BS degree in Recreation and Parks Administration at Illinois State University in Normal, IL.
After graduation, Pastor Jack embarked on a career with the Boy Scouts of America as a Commissioned Executive. He served four BSA councils headquartered in Springfield, IL, Decatur, IL, South Bend, IN, and Indianapolis, IN. While serving Decatur, IL he directed and developed the 640-acre Rhoades-France Scout Reservation.
Upon retiring from the BSA, he ultimately formed two computer businesses with five offices in Indiana and Illinois as well as serving as a deployment lead for companies such as NCR, Cummins Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, and Cintas Corporation.
Pastor Jack retired from his computer businesses in 2017 to attend Bethany Theological Seminary, in Richmond, IN. He also attended United Lutheran Seminary, Gettysburg PA, to fulfill his Lutheran learning component. He graduated from Bethany with a Master of Divinity degree in May of 2020. In May of 2021, he also was awarded a Master of Theology degree from Bethany. When Pastor Jack completes a thesis on Small Church Vitality, he will be awarded a Master of Arts in Town & Country Church by the United Lutheran Seminary.
Pastor Jack looks forward to working with the people of Tri-Saints Lutheran Parish during this year of Internship and getting to know people in the area communities better.
