Vicar The Rev'd John Taylor Brantley
Rev'd John Taylor Brantley was raised in the Beaver Dam Community outside of Fayetteville, NC. He attended Cape Fear High School where he was an active member of the FFA and the High School Marching Band, graduating in 2008. After completing a Bachelor of Theology in February 2013 he was ordained a Deacon. The following June he was elevated to the Priesthood. Rev'd Brantley has served as Vicar of Holyrood since 2015. He and the congregation at Holyrood were received into the United Episcopal Church in June of 2016. Rev'd Brantley is married to Amanda and they have one daughter and one son. In 2020 Rev'd Brantley completed an MA in Christian Education and is currently working on his dissertation for a Doctorate in Christian Education (C.Ed.D.). He was awarded an honorary Doctor of the University for services to Christian Education in February 2022 by Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi Christian University. In addition to serving as vicar of Holyrood Rev'd Brantley also serves as the Deputy Headteacher at All Saints Christian Academy in Cameron, NC and the registrar of Latimer Theological Institute in Waynesboro, VA.
