Meet The Pastor
Pastor Vic Sassano
Vic Sassano felt the call of God on his life from the time he was a young boy. Born and raised in New Jersey, Vic left when he was 19 years old to pursue his calling and training at Bible college. His passion is to be part of a family of believers that reaches into the lives of the lost and unchurched while actively developing disciples by making personal investments in their lives. At River of Life, this happens by creating meaningful environments and opportunities where people are equipped and challenged to take the next step in their relationship with Christ.
Pastor Vic's desire for an active, impactful church has created in him great capacities for loving people, for serving Jesus, and for excellent diligence. These characteristics are his motivation for every job, church or secular, and the reason for his success in building teams, creating new programs, and finding unique solutions to old problems.
He enjoys the challenge to get things done; his way of accomplishing tasks is not as an aggressive leader, but as an empathetic, encouraging shepherd who truly wants the best for each person.
Some of the things Pastor Vic enjoys are: movies, unique restaurants, smoothies, popcorn, riding four-wheelers, exploring, and venturing out into unknown territory (ask him about his adventures sometime!) He is the husband of one wife :-) married to his soulmate and love-of-his-life, Rhonda. Privileged to be the father of absolutely amazing children: Victor, Clair, and Charity, Pastor Vic loves being with family and friends. They would all love for you to come and join the body of believers at River of Life as they grow together in deeper relationship with God and each other!
