On May 27 of 2009, Community Baptist Church unanimously voted for and called Pastor Jeremy Varner as its Senior Pastor. Pastor Varner and his wife Allison have four Children, Faith, Luke, Karis, and Sarah. The Varner’s served in Salisbury NC for 8 1/2 years at Maranatha Bible Church, before being called to Community Baptist Church of La Grange. While serving in Salisbury, Jeremy served as an Associate Pastor/Youth Pastor. Jeremy and Allison are both graduates of Piedmont International University in Winston Salem.
Pastor Jeremy currently holds a B.A in Biblical Studies with a pastoral major, as well as a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Luther Rice University. Pastor Jeremy is a very gifted speaker and teacher, weaving humor with his hermeneutics. With a strong emphasis upon exegetical teaching, Christ centered preaching, Pastor Jeremy seeks to make much of Christ as he expounds upon the Word of God each and every Sunday. His teaching rotates between both OT and NT with a faithful line by line, verse by verse, book study, in effort to equip the Saints for the work of the ministry. With a focus on evangelism, discipleship, and equipping the church with a balanced biblical approach, Community Baptist Church may be where God would have you and your family to be a part of a healthy local body of believers.
