About Spirit of Peace Community
This church community offers an alternative to traditional Catholics in that we are progressive. We are not exclusive and our liturgy is rooted in scripture and the Eucharist. We have no superiors or inferiors among us. We use language which expands the image of God. We take care of the poor and needy. Women, as well as men, proclaim the gospel and preside at liturgy. We have no paid staff. Everyone does something to make the community function. We're committed to working for peace and justice. We have thrived for over 33 years.
