About The Edge Christian Fellowship

We are one church scattering across St. Joseph in Community Groups each week to love, serve, and share the gospel with our city, and then gathering every weekend for worship. “And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field right up to its edge, nor shall you gather the gleanings after your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and for the sojourner: I am the LORD your God.”

BELIEFS

We Are Bible Based We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God; it is the basis for everything we seek to do here at The Edge. We do our best to model our ministry, leadership and services after the Gospel keeping it as our focus in everything we do. We Are Elder Led We believe that a church is healthiest when led by a plurality of pastors equal in authority and responsibility. Here at the Edge we practice team leadership. Our “senior pastor” is Jesus – our other pastors answer to Him. We Are Inter-Denominational We are not opposed to denominations as such, only the overemphasis of non-essential doctrines that tend to divide the body of Christ. We work hard to advance God’s kingdom, not specific forms of it. We follow Jesus and work with anyone who considers Jesus the way, the truth and the life. Why Are We Called “The Edge”? In the Old Testament, God instructed His people not to completely harvest their crops but to leave the edges of the field for the poor and the stranger (Leviticus 23:22). In this simple command, God made clear His love and concern for the weak and the lowly. The edge of the field stood as a reminder of God’s compassion and grace toward those in need. Welcome to The Edge!
