Lead Pastor Rick Oursler
Hi!
It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 3 in 1 Fellowship Melville Chapel Campus.
I am Rick Oursler Lead Pastor of the 3 in 1 Fellowship. I was a Physical Educator at Hammond Middle School, Howard County for 25 years and at Howard High School, Howard County for 8 years where I was the strength and conditioning leader and coached Field Hockey, Track and JV Baseball.
I also grew up in Howard County and attended Howard County Schools. I have been involved in Christian Ministry all of my life. I taught Sunday School and was a Lay Speaker in the United Methodist Church before retiring from teaching to become a pastor. I was involved in Campus Crusade for Christ and Fellowship of Christian Athletes when in undergraduate school at Towson University. My wife, Janet and I, are still monthly sponsors of Jason Scott leader of Howard County FCA
.
I have a passion for ministry in general but really find the challenges and rewards of youth ministry really exciting. In combination with a group of lay leaders we founded the ACTS (Amazing Christian Teens in Service) Youth Ministry 3 years ago.
I also truly believed we are called to be the yes, hands and feet of Jesus so mission is an important part of the 3 in 1 Fellowship ministry program.
My wife, Janet, was raised in Southwestern Virginia and came to Maryland where we met at church. We have two grown daughters and two grand kids. We live in Jessup, Md. and have been married 38 years.
