Pastor Stephen Nelson
Pastor Stephen Nelson is our Church Planter, and Lead Pastor. He, and his family, relocated to Natchitoches for the planting of Awaken Church. Pastor Stephen completed his degree program in 1998, with a degree in Pastoral Ministry and Bible, from Mid-America Christian University, in Oklahoma City. Prior to coming to Natchitoches, he served on pastoral staff at congregations in Tulsa, OK, Coral Springs, FL, and Hot Springs, AR. Pastor Stephen believes that no man has the right to take the Bible and make it boring. His personal philosophy is: be prepared, be flexible, and be yourself.
