Meet The Pastor
Senior Pastor Michael Triem
Michael was raised in Northwest Illinois and accepted Christ into his life when he was thirteen years old. Feeling a call to service, he served six years in the Army before moving on to work for the federal government for another eighteen years. In 2011, Michael felt called by God to lead a church. Submitting to this call, he left his career and returned to school in 2016 to work on his BA & MA in pastoral studies. In 2020, Michael received his MA from Moody Bible Institute.
Michael loves to teach, and through his preaching, he desires to equip the congregation to do God’s work in NorthWest Indiana and beyond.
Michael is supported by his wife of twenty-nine years, Maggie. They have three wonderful children; Jacki, Derrik, and Chelsey.
Michael and Maggie are excited to be a part of South Lake Church and are eager to share the love of God with others. They openly welcome all who have a desire to know God.
