Meet The Pastor
Pastor Victor D. Turner Sr.
Victor D. Turner, Sr. is the Pastor of the Knowledge of God Church Ministries in Southern Illinois. Pastor Turner, who was born in Washington DC, is a minister of God though His Son Jesus Christ. Pastor Turner is married to his lovely wife Annetta for 33 years.
Pastor Turner has been teaching and preaching the Gospel for a period of 19 years. The Turners were very active in the work of their former church for 16 years in the State of Maryland.
Their involvement included: the Adult Choir, the Worship and Praise team Ministry, the Director of Worship and Praise Team Ministry, the Class Leader’s Ministry (Membership Care) and Lay Teachers in their Church School Ministry.
After four years of teaching the Gospel in the “Church School Ministry,” Pastor Turner, being led by the Holy Spirit, shifted his focus solely on perfecting his gift of teaching.
Pastor Turner and his wife both attended the From the Heart Church, School of Ministry. The curriculum for the school of ministry was clerical courses, mandatory for Lay teachers, and those called into the four fold ministry. Pastor Turner and his wife were both taught how to teach, from gift to practice.
Pastor Turner was appointed to be the “Ministry Head” of the Church School Ministry. Though his leadership, he lead and supported 25 teachers on how to exegete and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Turner’s focus has always been on studying the Word of God. So the truth would be taught, and that the Word of God is rightly divided. (2 Timothy 2:15) When the Word of God is rightly divided, the Gospel will bring revelation knowledge, clarity, understanding, and the truth will make you free!
Pastor Turner witness everywhere he goes, and has ministered the Gospel in many places of Worship and Bible-study settings. While serving in the U.S. Air Force, Pastor Turner held noon-day bible studies in one of the chapels on Andrews Air Force Base MD.
So Airmen during lunch could not only feed their physical bodies, but they could feed their spirit the Bread of Life. Pastor Turner is an ordained minister, and a member in good standing with the National Association of Christian Ministers.
Pastor Turner has a heart for the people of God and a passion to seek and save the lost. He is joyfully serving God’s people as the Holy Spirit lead, guides and directs him, always lifting up the Name of Jesus!
