Maranatha Baptist Church is a reformational and evangelical congregation.
We affirm the five solae of the Protestant Reformation:
sola scriptura - Scripture alone is the final authority on God for the Church;
sola fide - Faith alone is necessary for salvation;
sola gratia - Grace alone is necessary for Christian life;
solus Christus - Christ alone is the person by, through, and to whom we are saved;
soli Deo gratia - God’s glory alone is the end of our worship and mission.
We are evangelical in this fourfold way:
The Bible - the authoritative revelation of God’s person and work for God’s people;
The Cross - the sole means by which we are saved from sin and death;
Worship - the regular gathering of the Church to partake of Word and ordinance;
Mission - the main goal of the Church’s benevolent witness to the world.
