Calvary Baptist Church is a small, loving group of believers in Jesus Christ, located just outside Gainesville, Georgia. Calvary Baptist Church is a proud partner of Choices Pregnancy Care Center, The Gideons, Gospel Link, Lottie Moon, and Good Samaritan Food Bank. We provide AWANA Clubs and Wednesday night youth services during the school year, as well as Vacation Bible School during the summer.
Services are streamed weekly and can be viewed on-demand on our website. Sermons are broadcast on 97.5 Glory FM/WGTJ Radio each Sunday at 1:00pm. Calvary also provides an online video ministry called 'Spiritual Spotlight', which highlights our various programs and ministries.
BELIEFS
We believe that Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity and is the only begotten eternal Son of God Who became flesh to reveal God to man, to fulfill prophecy, and to become the Savior of the lost world. In becoming man Jesus did not cease in any way to be God so that He is fully God and fully man inseparably united in one person forever. Jesus was 1) miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit, 2) born of the Virgin Mary, 3) lived a sinless life, 4) died on the cross as the substitutionary, all-sufficient atoning sacrifice for all of the sins of all men of all time who accept Him by faith, 5) was buried, 6) bodily rose from the dead, 7) physically ascended into heaven in His glorified, resurrected body, 8) is seated at the right hand of the Father performing His ministry of intercession, 9) will return in the air to claim His bride the church, and 10) will come again to earth in bodily form, personally and visibly, to conclude human history and consummate God’s eternal plan by executing judgment and ushering in His Millennial Kingdom reign to be followed by the eternal state.
