We are a church community in Tampa that has a desire to see the life and teachings of Jesus lived out and known in our time. We are people that long to be in the presence of God. We practice the way of Jesus in all aspects of our lives, whether at home, work, or other social spaces. We live on mission to tell others the story of His love, renewal, and grace over us all.

About Journey Church Tampa
At Journey, we are built around the Biblical idea of practicing the way of Jesus. The life changing truth that Jesus came into the world, died for us, and has given us new life. We are now His sons and daughters. We are the church, and the church is a living breathing community of people committed to living out the teachings of Jesus. Which means, we value relationships with each other, our neighbors, and our neighborhood. Whether it’s meeting throughout the city in small groups, gathering on Sundays, eating together in a local restaurant, or prayer walking the streets of our neighborhood, practicing the way of Jesus in our homes, workplaces, and city is one of the central themes of our church.

BELIEFS
By believing the Gospel, you are brought into a new community (1 Corinthians 12:13). In the church, gospel-changed Christians now slowly become freed from the inner slavery and the social exclusion that marked their lives before. The church is where Christians with transformed identities begin to live out (partially, but significantly) the changed economic, social, racial, and family relationships that will mark the future kingdom of God, when Christ comes to completely heal all the alienation in the world and renew the whole earth. The church becomes the ‘sign of the kingdom’ for a broken world.
