Brother Mel Himes Jr
Mel Himes Jr is our Bi-Vocational Pastor. Mel has lived in the Volusia County area since 1974. He owns Mel Himes & Associates Insurance Agency, Inc in Deltona, Florida.
He attended William Carey College and graduated from Mobile Baptist College (Mobile University). He was licensed into the Ministry by Central Baptist Church in Mobile, Al and ordained into the Ministry by Deltona Lakes Baptist Church in Deltona, Florida.
Mel has served various Churches in Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida during his ministry. He has held staff positions as well as Lay Leadership positions. Mel currently serves in the Seminole Baptist Assoication and the Florida State Board of Missions.
Mel is married to Arleen Himes, they have four children and nine grand children.
