The one and only true God who created the heavens and the earth created us in His image to enjoy unfettered access and relationship with Him. But through our sin that relationship was distorted and ultimately His image in us was marred. Although God had every right to cut us off in His goodness, kindness and great love He sent his only son, born of a virgin, to live a perfect life among us. He was then crucified, innocent, yet paying the final sacrifice on our behalf. He was raised from the dead physically on the third day proving that the sacrifice was sufficient, the law had been satisfied and the wrath of God quenched. God the Father now calls people everywhere to repent and to put our lives, faith and trust in Jesus. And that by doing so we are returned to fellowship with Him, the precious Holy Spirit is released to us to lead us and guide us. Our sins are forgiven, we are born again. We can now enjoy fellowship with God again as we love and serve our neighbors while we eagerly await His triumphant return.
