Our Mission

Exalting the Lord Jesus Christ - Missions, Prayer, and the Word of God
The Chapel Emphasizes the Lord Jesus Christ - Missions, Prayer, and the Word of God Emphasizing the Lord Jesus Christ: We are an evangelical assembly. We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and believe in the Triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, died on the cross for our sins, but He rose the third day, now reigns on high, and His return is certain. Salvation is available to all by faith in Christ. Missions: The majority of the Chapel's giving goes to world-wide missions. Individuals in the Chapel are involved in outreach in the community and with other outreach organizations. (Matthew 28:18-20) Prayer: The 9:30 a.m. Sunday Communion Service (weekly except for first Sundays when it's at the end of the 11:15 a.m. Sunday Service) is a time of prayer and worship. We also have a weekly Thursday evening prayer meeting at 7:00 p.m. and a prayer meeting for Israel on the third Monday of every month. (I Thessalonians 5:17) The Word of God: The Sunday Service and adult Sunday School are teachings from the Bible, often through a book of the Bible, though sometimes for the Sunday Service we have reports from missionaries we help support. (II Timothy 3:16-17) We are a Bible believing church, an Open Plymouth Brethren assembly.

BELIEFS

(1) We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God, and inerrant in the original writings and that it is absolute, authoritative, supreme and final in all that it affirms. (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:19-21; Matt. 4:4) (2) We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. (Luke 1:35; Matt. 1:18; Isa. 7:14; Matt. 1:22, 23; Phil. 2:5-8) (3) We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; John 10:30; Matt. 3:16, 17; Isa. 48:16; 2 Cor. 13:14) (4) We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with sinful nature, resulting in the practice of sin in thought, word and deed. (Gen. 1:26, 27; Gen. 3:19; Lev. 18:22; Lev. 20:13; Judges 19; Ps. 51:5; Ps. 58:3; Rom. 1:24-27, Rom. 3:10-12; Rom. 5:12; Rom. 6:23; 1 Cor. 6:9-13; 1 Tim. 1:10) (5) We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. (1 Cor. 15:1-4; Rom. 3:23-25; Rom. 5:8, 9) (6) We believe that God loves all the world and not just the saved or those who will be saved. (John 3:16 & Titus 2:11) We believe that God wants all men to be saved and is not willing that any should perish. (2 Pet 3:9 & 1 Tim 2:4) We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for the sins of all men and that He provided salvation for all, but that his death is only effectual for those who believe the Gospel and repent. (1 John 2:2 & John 8:24 & Luke 13:3) We believe that God has given to all men the ability to believe the Gospel and repent and that man alone makes his decision and that man alone is ultimately responsible for his decision to believe and repent. (Deut. 30:19 & Josh 24:15 & John 3:19) We do not believe that God is ultimately responsible for who believes and repents and who does not believe and does not repent. We do not believe that God determines, elects, predestines or chooses who will believe and repent and who will not believe and not repent. We believe that salvation is the gift of God (Eph 2:8.) We believe that God foreknew who would believe and repent. (Rom 8:29-30) (7) We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. (John 1:12; John 3; Gal. 3:26) (8) We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in Jesus Christ. (Gal. 3:28; Eph. 4:1-6) (9) We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the children of God are enabled to live a holy life, and to conform their behavior not to natural impulses, but to the pattern Christ set forth in his life and the Holy Spirit set forth in this Word, and to witness by word and conduct. (Eph. 1:13; Eph. 2: 1-7; Rom. 8; Rom. 12:1-2; John 14; John 16; 1 Cor. 2:14; 1 John 2:6) (10) We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate. (1 Cor. 15:3, 4; Matt. 28; John 20; Acts 1:11; Heb. 7:25; 2 John 2:1) (11) We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting, conscious punishment of the lost. (John 5:28, 29; Dan. 12:2; Luke 16:19-31; Rev. 21) (12) We believe in “that blessed hope” of the personal, premillenial and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (Titus 2:13; Acts 1:11; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Matt. 25:1-13)
