CHRISTIAN EDUCATION MINISTRY
The overall purpose of the Christian Education Ministry is to provide, develop and promote programs that equip individuals for discipleship (Matthew 28:19-20). The Christian Education Ministry is comprised of child, teenage and adult classes that individually and collectively have a focus of spirituality, service and education. Biblical teaching and learning are the essential elements of the Christian Education Ministry. Through active participation in Christian Education programs, individuals acquire the tools and skills needed to lead others to Christ and to allow them to grow spiritually in a community of believers.
IDENTITY YOUTH MINISTRY
Identity Students is committed to helping teenagers take the next step in their spiritual journeys. Our environments and programs are designed to help students engage in worship, grow through God’s Word, participate in biblical community, and find joy in giving to the church through service and resources. If you would like more information about the worship services, when our students gather during the week, or opportunities to connect, please feel free to contact us.
EVANGELISM & WORD MINISTRY
Outreach and Evangelism is a time when the church works in a concerted effort to reach the community. The Word Ministry offers Home Bible Studies or Bible Specific Bible studies as needed. This ministry also provides a New Life Class for New Converts to help establish them in their new relationship with the Lord.
HOSPITALITY & VISITOR FOLLOW-UP MINISTRY
The Visitor Follow-up Team is active in creating a connection with guests of Lighthouse Christian Center. Welcome letters, telephone calls (if requested) and personal visits (if requested) are facilitated by this committee to ensure that every guest of Lighthouse Christian Center is made to feel welcome and, if they choose to make the Lighthouse their place of worship, knows how to become involved in the ministries of their choice.Our team participates in one-on-one visitation, personal invitations to upcoming services/events and connection with recent guests to the Lighthouse who have asked for a follow-up visit.
BELIEFS
Lighthouse Christian Center is a church striving to become a 21st Century Apostolic Church. We are founded upon the belief that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God.
We believe in the great commission and are endeavoring to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy and compassion.
ONE LORD
We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit).
REPENTANCE / FORGIVENESS OF SIN
We believe that a personal relationship with God and salvation begins with Repentance of sin.
1 John 1:9 KJV If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Acts 2:38 KJV Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
ONE BAPTISM
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38)
INFILLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues.
Acts 2:4 KJV And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy; words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, healing, helps and government. (Mark 16:15-18; Acts 5:16;(2 Corinthians 12:1-11)
