Meet The Pastor
Pastor Mary Fischer
Mary Fischer has lived all over the United States. Born in Wisconsin, she was raised in Georgia and Illinois. She met her husband Tom while living in Wisconsin but moved to Glendale, Arizona thirteen years ago. She has a degree in Biology, and a M.S. in Outdoor Education and is a Fuller Theological Seminary graduate. She came to Community of Hope via Chicago where she did her internship at a Lutheran church in St. Charles, Illinois. Mary considers this her fourth career, having been in sales, research, and teaching. For the last 15 years, she has taught Biology, Religious Studies, and Ethics in colleges in Wisconsin and Arizona. She has been happily married to Tom for 25 years and both are proud grandparents.
